Conversion of input signals as RMS values of AC current voltage within the range of: 0–500 V, 0–300 V, 0–150 V or AC current (in the range of 0–5 А) into a unified output DC current of 4–20 mА.

The converter is mounted in a housing UEGH 45/2-SMD (PHOENIX CONTACT). The housing's design provides for its mounting on a standard bus (rail) of DIN 35/7,5 type. There is a printed circuit board with hook up elements in the converter's housing. There arealso connection terminals for connection of an input signal source, power supply source and load resistance. On the housing's side there is a hole providing access to a control resistor while calibrating the converter. Distinctive features are high accuracy of conversion within a wide temperature range, galvanic isolation of input and output circuits (power supply circuits), possibility for correction of conversion characteristics. Depending on an output signal's range the converter is connected according to Fig. 1.1–1.4 using the wire having 0,14–2,5 mm2 section.
